These are instructions for the UV microscope at the MBI at UCLA.

  1. Turn on computer and login with no password.
  2. Turn on the UV lamp.
  3. Turn on the camera.
  4. Start Wasabi (the UV program).
  5. Start Korima (the visible program).
  6. The UV transmission light is a switch under the microscope platform. Turn it on only when needed.
  7. The stage X-Y controls are knobs that face down under the stage.
  8. Microscope focus is in the regular place.
  9. The easiest way to take a UV micrograph is with the single snap tool in Wasabi--it is an icon that looks like a regular old camera.
