Add Program Button in KDE Panel

For the moment, lets pretend the program is my password keeper, passerby.

1. Move your mouse to the KDE Panel.
   
2. Right click in the Panel.
   
3. In the Menu: Add to Panel -> Special Button -> Non-KDE Application
4. In the Dialog that pops up:
   
1. Button Title: passerby
2. Executable: /usr/local/bin/passerby
   (or wherever the passerby executable is found)
3. Command Line Arguments: /path/to/passerby-file.pby
   (e.g. /home/bob/security/passwords.pby)
4. Don't hit OK yet...lets make the icon nice (Step 5)
   
5. Select an Icon in the Dialog:
1. Click  the icon by "Button Title" entry (should look like a white box with a blue bar at the top).
2. Select "System Icons" from the radio buttons.
3. Select "Applications" in the pulldown on the right.
4. Scroll to "gpg" and use that as the icon (should look good enough and appropriate for a passerby document).
5. Hit OK in the Icon Dialog.
6. Now you can hit OK in the Special Button Dialog.
7. To move the icon in the KDE panel, right click it and select "Move passerby Button" from the context menu.
